29th edition of The AIPAD Photography Show New York

The 29th edition of the AIPAD(international pohotography event) opens this week in New York!!It runs from the 26th to the 29th. It its expected for Robert klein to bring more work to his booth at AIPAD New York than usual. A Gala Preview will take place today, to benefit the John Szarkowski Fund.

Road To Revolution Live At Milton Keynes

I've had the Linkin park Road to Revolution Cd/Dvd that was recorded during the bands annual Projekt Revolution festival tour for a while now but i never really got the chance to watch it, until last night....And i'll honestly have to say that it was one of the best shows that Linkin Park has ever played live. The band was covered from very good camera angles, the sound was loud and clear, and the band played to its best ability. The one thing that didn't help this great performance was the wierd piano version of "pushing me away". I think they should have stuck to the original way of the song.

maybe sometime it works out with people who are super photogenic,

Beware the stereotype is a local new band who is just getting started, they have already been signed by a record company called Tragic Hero who has signed bands like Alesana and many more. The band consist of 4 members who live in Harrisburg NC, Jesse Brown, ans sister Gabby Brown, Justin H and Andrew Monday. Their band has a meet and greet thursday March 26 at the hot topic in concord mills, it starts at 6 and they will be selling merchandise and giving away cd's with a sample of there new stuff. Their music is a mixture of techno, rap , and screamo. With Jesse doing screams, Andrew& Justin rapping and Gabby singing.

Avenged Sevenfold concert

So Avenged Sevenfold is coming to Asheville on the 28th of this month...And i really want to go to their concert. For those who don't know who they are, they are a metalcore band from California formed in 1998. Papa Roach and Buckcherry will also be performing. Papa Roach a alt-metal band and Buckcherry a rock/pop band. It's expected to be a pretty good concert and my friends are going so Im hoping i get to go :)

Do You Idiots Not Know What A Genre Is?

Okay, so my band Bring Forth The Body recently played a show in Mount Pleasant, NC at their high school about two weeks ago. We play deathcore which is a mixture of hardcore and deathmetal. Well anyways after we were done with our set we went and chilled in the lobby with two of the guys from another band called Amesty. While we were out there we overheard some little prissy girl's phone conversation. "I came out here to hear some good music not any of this screamo crap" and Beau, our other lead guitarist, was like "Do you not know what a genre is?" God it infuriates me when people are completely ignorant about what they're talking about. Lets set the record straight. Screamo is a genre where the singer screams, AND (get this) sings! Oh bet you didnt know that, and half the done it is not usually done tastefully. Your probably thinking "ugh, it takes no talent to scream" but oh it takes more skill than you think, especially if you want to preserve your voice. Now about the music instruments themselves....compare your average metal guitarist to your current pop star idol.... the metal dude will blow them out of the water....but then youll argue "but metals not like catchy or anything". Thats in your opinion and opinion are only good if theyre intelligent so just keep them to yourselves....you sound like an idiot.

Rant Against Mankind

Its in the papers everyday, another rape or murder, another body in the grave. Violence begets sadness and then the carnage starts. This world is full of nothing but empty, broken, virus-infected hearts. It seems that the antagonist is the winner in this nightmare, theres no light in this dragons lair. This world has no semblance of sanity, it's as chaotic as the curses in the air, scales tipping to the balance in favor of strife. Critics call us a waste of life, what have we done to prove them wrong? Love lost in the bottle of liquor. We dig our own graves, we can't resist our vices they're too strong. You can cover your ears and scream till you drown out the cries, but the fact remains the same, all hope has died. Work to succeed and profit the war machines, technology, new ways to kill people. Guns dont kill people, we use the sword instead of the churchs steeple. Cry for world peace then push the button, annihilate another nation, genocide and homicide in matrimony crush beneath their feet the feeble harmony. Call me a pessismist but in truth im a realist, optomism is a word created to create a hope in nothing. For me the only peace in the world would be death and a place in heaven. I pray you don't reincarnate as a warhawk, laughing as you slay the children. You can scorn the hypocrites but you make yourself one as you do so.Your sins are just as dark as mine. You hear a flatline, its the worlds pulse as we draw nearer to extinction. Between good and bad Death knows no distinction. You think your immune to time, your a hill compared to the mountains its wasted. Human bloods the sweetest its tasted. Were its favorite victim, legacy's all you can leave, but even they are lost in the annals of time. What twisted sick sense of hate where we pray for death unto others, a mockery of family, of the love of brothers. Torture the landscapes till skeletons of steel conquer all. The philosophy of man, it will be our downfall. For what do we live? To oppress and depress Mother Nature and goodwill. We'll gorge on beauty till we've had our fill, till all we have left to live in are landfills. We'll drain the Earth till she has nothing left to bleed. please wear your pants

i know this has been a long debated issue but really, its time for people to come to a decision and ditch the over-sized clothing for something a little more sophisticated, come on we're in high school now. no one wants to see your underwear, unless you are an underwear model, and in that case you wouldn't be wearing pants at all which isn't school appropriate. i believe guys need to wear their pants at a respectable level. even if their shirts cover their knees anyways. and the shirts oh gosh the shirts, can't people see that super big slouchy shirts only make your look really short (and not to mention SLOPPY!) so just please wear a belt or buy clothes THAT FIT YOU!!!!! : ) -lindsey
