Do You Idiots Not Know What A Genre Is?

Okay, so my band Bring Forth The Body recently played a show in Mount Pleasant, NC at their high school about two weeks ago. We play deathcore which is a mixture of hardcore and deathmetal. Well anyways after we were done with our set we went and chilled in the lobby with two of the guys from another band called Amesty. While we were out there we overheard some little prissy girl's phone conversation. "I came out here to hear some good music not any of this screamo crap" and Beau, our other lead guitarist, was like "Do you not know what a genre is?" God it infuriates me when people are completely ignorant about what they're talking about. Lets set the record straight. Screamo is a genre where the singer screams, AND (get this) sings! Oh bet you didnt know that, and half the done it is not usually done tastefully. Your probably thinking "ugh, it takes no talent to scream" but oh it takes more skill than you think, especially if you want to preserve your voice. Now about the music instruments themselves....compare your average metal guitarist to your current pop star idol.... the metal dude will blow them out of the water....but then youll argue "but metals not like catchy or anything". Thats in your opinion and opinion are only good if theyre intelligent so just keep them to yourselves....you sound like an idiot.
